Usually openings in sage brush with low or no vegetation within 0.6 miles from sagebrush Areas with 20-25% canopy cover from sagebrush that is over 13 inches tall and has an abundance of tall thick residual forage from the previous growing season A mosaic pattern of dense and sparse sagebrush with diversity in the plant community Riparian areas, springs, high elevation meadows and irrigate hay fields adjacent to fairly dense sagebrush Sagebrush on South and West facing wind swept slopes with taller sagebrush |
